Is Liz Straw the right person to be my companion? 


Liz is fun, easy to chat with, likes listening and laughing. She's also trustworthy and compassionate. She's worked for Hospiscare and the Diocese of Exeter.


I'm booking Liz Straw for a family member, can I meet her first?


Yes! We actively encourage you and a family member to meet Liz.


How many people can you take on a trip?

In order to make this a very pleasant experience the maximum number of people we can take is two.  You can share memories and feel safe. The second person is charged half price.


How do I book?


We are happy to arrange a 30 minute free meeting with you and your family to discuss your needs, with no obligations to book anything further.  


After that meeting it is up to you to decide if you wish to use our services or not and then book the times and trips you want. 


You can book via the website or you can ring us ding office working hours, if we are busy with a  client and unable to answer please leave a message or send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Notice


All bookings must be made three days in advance.  This allows us to p​lan the trip or visit properly and ensure that everything is in place to make it an enjoyable time out. 


What are your prices?


Morning or afternoon sessions cost £54 while a whole day costs £100.  All the fees are explained in full on the website. Fees are paid in advance with incidental expenses agreed in advance but paid in arrears


Is there discount available?


Yes! A 10% discount is available on block bookings for 5 or more sessions. 


Are the staff DBS (police) checked?


Yes, Liz has an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  Previously known as CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check, the Disclosure and Barring Service helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups. 


Do I have to sign up to a long contract?


No, we have no contract to sign and you book the sessions you want when you want them.  


Can I plan the trip?


Yes, just tell us your idea and together we’ll work out a route and timings.

If I have to cancel my session what will I be charged?


Because each session that is cancelled at late notice leaves a gap in our diary the following cancellation charges apply.  

·  All cancellations should be made by telephone and followed by an email. 

·  The whole fee is payable if a cancellation is made within a maximum of three days of the planned trip.

Cancellations due to serious illness or infirmity will be reviewed on a case by case basis. 

Where the session is cancelled, and other associated bookings or tickets have already been made by us on behalf of the Client and which cannot be refunded will be charged to the Client in full, plus a reasonable administration charge.


Illness or infirmity or medical treatment


All clients are required to provide us with details of any medical information that may affect the services.  A short client form will be completed before the first trip, this will include details of any illnesses or medications, and contact details for the client’s family.  This form will be carried by  us ding the trip and stored electronically.
